In 5 short months (Mostly Winter and Poor Spring) we have accomplished what I set out to do in November 06. They are the BEST of All workers and of course the BEST Friends a guy could ever want. Music by Del Shannon 1960 "Runnaway"

Del Shannon  born 12/34 real name was Charles Weedon Westover but changed it to Del Shannon to add some  zip to it. Del came from his Favorite car, the Cadillac Coupe Deville and Shannon came from the famous wrestler named Mark Shannon. Del was the 1st musician to use the Synthizer. Del Shannon played in Alexandria, Mn. in the 80's at Jefferson High School. Del died 2/8/90   RIP

Old Plywood removed. Original wood in box yet. Box and fenders removed for cleanup and paint.

Stripping paint was something new to me.  Not a job I would care to have....I'll stick to popping Kettle Korn.

I'am using Sikkens 3 Step system (Natural) and then 5 coats of Mirine grade Varnish.

6 Months earlier my truck looked like this.

This is My Good Friends 1963 Ford Falcon Sprint. Pat & Diane lives in Baltimore MD and was in MPLS. for the Ford Falcons Of America convention and was kind enough to come visit his old Army buddy. The Falcon is a daily driver and has traveled across the USA several times. Great to see you after so many years. You and the car are holding up very well. Just got word that your trip went well....Mission accomplished.  ................Thanks for the Great get together.
